Q: What are MACROS?
A: Macros or Macronutrients are the nutrients that provide your body with the energy it requires. There are three macronutrients: Protein, Fats, and Carbohydrates. Your body requires large quantities of macros to fuel, perform, and recover efficiently.
Q: How do you know what macros I require?
A: Based on height, weight, muscle density, current diet and activity levels (along with many other variables), I calculate your necessary daily caloric maintenance and suggest appropriate macronutrients targeted for your goals.
Q: What do I do if I am still hungry while on the meal plan?
A: We're not out to starve ourselves. First of all, you will learn to recognize if your hunger is genuine or if you're confusing it with boredom. After assessing your hunger, you'll take action following the guidelines in your meal plan. If you experience constant hunger, we will look at your plan and physical activity levels, and adjust your macronutrients accordingly.
Q: Is it possible to go out for dinner while I'm on a meal plan?
A: Although I do not suggest you do it on the regular, I also understand that you may be a social butterfly who likes to enjoy a meal out with your loved ones. During the interview process, I'll learn what your favourite foods and restaurants are and will do my best to provide flexibility around dining out. My goal is for you to reach your goals.
Q: Am I able to drink alcohol while on the meal plan?
A: Despite the dietary flexibility I provide, alcohol is a factor I highly discourage through the process of your journey.
Q: Isn't it expensive?
A: Can you really put a price on health? Let's do the breakdown. A12 week program is $375 β that's $31.25 per week. That's equal to (or less than) 3 drinks on a night out, one cab ride home from the club, or a single week's worth of Starbucks lattes. If you ask me, that's pretty affordable β and spares you the excess regret of an intoxicated pizza binge.
Q: Do I have to weigh myself? What if I don't want to take progress pictures?
A: If you feel completely uncomfortable documenting your progress that is okay β however, recognizing your weekly progress is just as important as experiencing the final vision. This is not for judgement, this is to observe your personal success.
Q: Why are the programs 12 weeks long?
A: 12 weeks is enough duration of time to set new habits and have a notable transformation, all while your metabolism becomes familiar with the quantities of nutrients it truly depends on. A shorter program might yield quick results, but doesn't provide you with the tools to be sustainable β which is what we want for the long-term.
Q: How often will you check in with me?
A: I will always check in with you at LEAST once a week. Depending on your preferences we can always increase check-in frequency.
Q: How is this different than going on a cleanse/detox/other diet?
A: "Wild diets" often have an expiration date and are quite disconnected from regular eating. The Lemoncrystals lifestyle is not a diet. This is a plan formulated with your normal eating habits in mind, while teaching you new healthy habits to practice.
